Double Knots Fishing Charters, LLC is a 100% veteran-owned business operated by Capt. Brian
Boree and his oldest son, Drake Boree. Capt. Brian is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and
currently holds a 25GT master's license from the United States Coast Guard, National Maritime Center.
Drake is currently working on getting his captain's license and will be operating his own boat very soon. Capt. Brian grew up fishing the waters around Florida and Georgia for over 60 years. Having fished from
From Jacksonville to the Florida Keys, all the way around to Venice, Louisiana, Corpus Christi, Texas, and many other places, Captain Brian has gained a wealth of knowledge about catching fish. Captain
Brian grew up fishing with his dad, Curtis, around Florida and Texas while he served in the United States Navy. Capt. Brian attributes his passion for catching the big ones and his infinite passion for teaching kids and all other anglers of all ages how to fish to his dad, who always took him fishing when he was at home.
Capt. Brian lives by the motto “Take a kid fishing” and takes anyone who wants to learn fishing.
He welcomes children of all ages on his boat with an accompanying adult. Capt. Brian has had
a lifelong passion since age 13 to become a charter boat captain. He worked on
shrimp boats at 12 and several charter boats starting at 13.
Growing up on the Jacksonville beach pier, he learned how to shark fish and kingfish with the
old timers of the dock who were always willing to teach an eager young man. When Capt. Brian
was 19, he interrupted his passion for fishing, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and
served his country for seven years before a training injury ended his career. Capt. Brian has a
competitive streak and enjoys the rush of fishing in any tournament he can. He has also hosted hundreds of people on his boat for the quest of the big one. So what do you say?
